Is anyone planning to resign from their job before the baby is born & be a sahm? I need help on wording something.

I'm just about 5 months & planning on giving notice once I can't bend anynmore. My job requires me to stand, lift, bend, run around the office for people for 8-8.5 hours straight. We get 15 min for lunch so I guess you can say I'm able to sit for only around 45 min a day including lunch. I'm not exagerating. Even now, I'm not that big yet and the constant bending down for files & climbing a ladder & reaching up for files causes tighning in my belly at times so I can't even imagine what it'll be like at 25-30 weeks. I go in 3 days a week so they'll be able to replace me pretty easily, I assume.
I plan on staying home with the baby afterwards anyway so as soon as I'm uncomfortable I'll give notice & just stay home with DC#1 from then on. The thing is, that they are nice to me. They offered me 6 weeks maternity leave & they think I'm coming back so when I approach them to leave at 30 weeks or before, they'll be surprised.
So, how do I word it without offending them? My manager takes eveything personally.

I worked in a nursing home as a recreation therapist supervisor so I was in charge of pushing wheelchairs, lifting etc. I couldn't do it anymore by 25 weeks and I knew I was planning on being a SAHM for as long as possible. My boss and I were close so It wasn't easy, especially since she has a baby at home that she puts in daycare. I just told her that I had saved up enough to stay home for a while and that the work was beginning to get to be to much for me. She understood. My last day was at 28 weeks and I wouldn't change it for anything. If you are already tired, there is no way you will be able to do it easily in your 3rd trimester. Maybe you could talk to them now so you are giving tons of notice?

thank you. Yes, I think I'd definitely give them more than 2 weeks notice. I don't want them stuck but anyone can do my job really so I don't think they'd have a problem filling it. I'm really not looking forward to this talk.

I think you can say you have to be put on bed rest or the babysitter you had planned on is not available anymore.
