Is anyone's DD's room NOT pink/purple, etc.?
Sasha's room is not typically girly-- the walls are yellow, her bedding is black/white/yellow, the rug is balck and white, and her crib is red.
Anyway-- I got a bunch of personalized gifts when she was born, and now just more personalized things-- and nothing matches her room. I mean-- even people who have seen her room, got pink stuff.
I know I won't be living here forever and eventually some stuff can go in a playroom that won;t have a color scheme-- but what the hell do you do with all this stuff??

DD's room is a really pretty green...definitely neutral enough for a boy, but I like it for a girl too. BM Kittery Point green, I love it.
I don't really have the same problem as you, but a lot of people are surprised my little girl's room is green b/c they only really think of pink or purple for a girl. Baby #2 is a girl and her room will most likely stay the soft blue it is now I looooove blue for a little girl's room!

Elizabeth's room is yellow and DD#2's room is green. I'm lucky bc the only personalized things I got as gifts for Elizabeth were towels, blankets and a piggy bank.
Maybe try selling the stuff on eBay if you don't think you'll ever use them.

omg-- you have NO idea. You are lucky. And considering I live in an 1100 sq foot 2BR apt, you would think people would think twice about some of these things!
When she was born I got a clock, a plaque thingy with hooks, a freakin' table and prob one or two other things I can't remmeber.
For her bday, I got a barrette holder to hang on the wall, a big step stool and pic frames.
Where am I gonna put all this stuff??!!

This happened to us too. we painted Chloe's room beige, chocolate brown and orange. Her furniture is white and espresso wood...very mod. Luckily, some pink stuff that we got goes because I got a funky multicolor rug that is a beige background with different color flowers. some stuff is in her playroom too

My DD's room is a very pale blue. It's called Monet Blue.
We painted it that color for the nursery before we had #1, and we did not know the gender. Turns out we had a boy first, but when DD took over the room, we kept it blue and added pale green accents.

My son and daughter share a room, so I did two shades of green. Her bedding does have some pink in it though.

Re: Is anyone's DD's room NOT pink/purple, etc.?
Zoey's room is pale pink on top and a deep brown on the bottom with a white chair rail running around the whole room to separate it. I am addicted to the pink/brown color scheme. My 16 year old says Zoey is gonna think they are the only 2 colors in the rainbow!

Re: Is anyone's DD's room NOT pink/purple, etc.?
DD-to-be's room is yellow and the bedding we picked is blue/green/yellow/orange.
However I have made it known that I am NOT a fan of pink or purple and so if anyone gets me anything pink for her room it will be donated

Re: Is anyone's DD's room NOT pink/purple, etc.?
DD #1 had primary colores(we did not know the sex) and then got all pink gifts. It usedto make me crazy because I am anal like that. I let it go for a while and then eventually she wanted a pink room anyway(when she was like 3) DD#2's room is a pretty green(BM LimeCicle). Pink goes much better.

Yellow and green.
But I have since added lots of stuff, pink, purple, whatever. It's not about the matchy-matchy anymore, it's about what keeps her occupied/stimulated/happy,

DDs is still light green with her Winnie the Pooh border.
I added a pink flowery rug, but that's about it.

Re: Is anyone's DD's room NOT pink/purple, etc.?
The walls in DD's room are a blue-green color - it was the color we picked for the room when it was our guestroom and we loved it too much to paint over it. Also, we will likely have another DC that will share the room with her and who knows what sex that child will be. There are pinks and purples in the room and the rug is pink - we have a lot of multi-colored pink, purple, teal items to pull the colors all together - so it's still pretty girly without being 100% pink. I wanted it to be girly but wanted to keep the room color too.

Re: Is anyone's DD's room NOT pink/purple, etc.?
my DD's room was a pale yellow until she was about 6 and she begged me for a pink room. So we repainted it pink for her(we were planning on painting it anyways.) Now that she's 9 pink is no longer her favorite color and she wants a blue room...

i would sell your stuff or give it away if you dont need it and can't exchange it. Things go really quick on craigslist.
My DD's big girl room is blue (but with pnk accents!)
