Is anyone's elses DC just a really BAD sleeper??
My DS is almost two, and is still not sleeping throught the night. And now i am co-sleeping with him, because he won't fall alspeep by himself in the crib and lots of time i don't bother tranferring him because he'll wake up. Not only does he not sleep through the night, but he twists and turns all night long!!!! I'm barely getting any rest myself, cause i'm nervous he may fall off the bed. I'm just getting depressed about it lately because a lot of my friends have kids that are around 4-6 months and they are ALL already sleeping through the night. I think some of it really is just that DS is not a good sleeper. But the other part of me thinks its because he still gets a bottle at night. I'm hoping once i take the bottle away from DS he does better at night, but that is going to also be tortorious at the same time. I really wish my doctor told me to take away the bottle at one year old, although its still no guaranty would be a good sleeper.

I do not believe that any child can be classified as an inherent BAD sleeper. I think good sleeping habits need to be taught. It takes a lot of effort short term but trust me it pays off HUGE long term.
I highly recomment Dr. Ferber's book.
Good Luck.. You never realize the important of sleep until you have kids.

I disagree completely. My dd was and still is a horrible sleeper. I did try sleep training and nothing worked....nothing. I will say that after I started treating her for enlarged adenoids, I did see a major improvement in sleep. She still wakes in the middle of the night but she will no longer toss and turn for hours.
There may be some medical reason that your ds can't sleep comfortably and no amount of sleep training is going to help until the medical problem is addressed.
