Is breast milk less filling than formula?
I give DD pumped BM, she needs to eat more often than when we give her RTF formula.
Just wondering if this is normal?
(sorry for all the new mommy questions!)

I was told by the ped that formula is harder on their systems and takes longer to breakdown in their stomach/intestinal tract, so they appear full longer than when they are on BM.

Yes. With formula a baby feels full faster and longer.

The formula is more filling than breast milk. It's also thicker and takes longer to digest.

Yes the formula is harder to digest therefore they dont need to eat as often.

Breastmilk is easier on babies' digestive systems because it is broken down by the mother. Formula is harder to digest so they appear to be fuller longer.
