It depends on the pain. my back was just a little achy, nothing major AT ALL and had it for almost up to a year? I could put my finger right on the spot. If it gets severe, then I would def ask your doctor.

My back has been hurting as well, but I think it gets aggravated from rockiing DS...or more like swaying. It happens to be right around where my epidural was too, and sometimes I swear i can feel it in my chest. Are you sure its not from rocking or swaying?

Yes - but again depends on your pain level - I could pin point the area where the epi was inserted and I could feel pain there that started around 2 months and lasted for a few weeks but it wasn't severe.

I had a lot of pain in m epi site. There were times it felt like I was being stabbed in that spot (more panful than the acutal epi!) I called my dr. and he said it was most likely inflammed in the area and to take advil or motrin religously for 3-4 days and if that didn't help to call him back. But that did the trick.

Im 6 1/2 pp and still have that pain once in awhile. Last night i got a stinging pain while trying to take my shirt off. My sis told me it takes a long time to fully heal.

I remember having back pain after my daughter and I never had pain before. I had a spinal though. It did go away with time, but I remember being very nervous about it.

I've had back pain since having DD but I think it is from bending down to pick her up and carrying her around. I can't pinpoint where my epi was.
