My dh can find anything. My MIL can't find anything. IF you tell her it's in the closet, she'll open the door and say "no, I don't see it." What? You looked for half a second. Makes me nuts.

Dh needs to be clocked in the head in order to find it. All I ever hear is "do we have any xxx?" "where's the xxx?" My response is always "IDK, DH, look in the xxx." Sometimes I'll hear "oh, there it is" but most often he'll look for a second and say "where? i don't see it." Try looking half an inch to the right, genius.

I think it's laziness in a way...they give up easily just so we can get up and get it for them...at least in my case!

I honestly thought it was the exact opposite. I know lots of women who can't find things, and have to go to their SO to find it for them. I think it all depends on your point of view.

If it ain't right directly of front of them -- they ain't finding it. It's in their genes, I think....
ITA! DH will email me to ask me if I know where something is when I am at work. Luckily I have a pretty good memory for where I have seen things last, but still.
