Is it normal for a 19 month old to be able to hum a song...
My parents (as all Grandparents do) think Madison is soooooooo talented because she hums Twinkle Twinkle all the time...and she is perfectly on pitch. I think it's cute, but I bet it's pretty normal at this age. Thoughts??
PS - isn't it funny how Grandparents think their Grandchildren are always prodigies?

LOL! It is so true about Grandparents.
Christopher could do it too at 19 months, I guess its age appropriate, maybe a touch ahead of the curve? I could be wrong tho...

I am sure she is talented!  But usually kids start to sing and hum at this age - but not always on tune!

it's awesome DS is 19 months and also hums a ton of songs (he's been doing it a while...but he loves music so much) and is starting to sing them (e.g EIEIO and fills in words to songs as we sing them). Def typical of their age range so its great shes doing it!! and yes grandparents tih their grand kids are genuis's. My step dad told me he thinks that my DS will need to be in a gifted program b/c he's advanced for his age (he does what every other 19 month old does i believe)  I told him, DS is where he should be and i am happy with that

Oh yea...we've got a "genius" over here too! Actually we keep saying that she's the next American Idol! 
I think it's GREAT that she's humming along!!!

Kaitee started singing that song at 18 1/2 months old. It was so cute! She loved that song so much that her 2nd birthday theme was stars

Brooke is 15 months old and she sings the "think, think, think" song and acts it out from the Pooh show!
I think its a normal age for that.

Yup, kids love music - when my DD was 11 or 12 months (last year at Christmas) she would sing and hum jingle bells!
Now she just turned 2 and instead of going to sleep we hear her belting out "Once upon a dream" from Sleeping Beauty!!

I would be impressed-is she too young for American Idol? If my DD started doing that in a couple months I would be impressed.
