i ebf ds but recently started solids & i mix ds's cereal with both powdered and ready made similac advanced but i'm almost out and i have at least 3 containers of different brand powdered formulas that i got for free. is it ok to switch formulas once in a while so i can use up what i have?

I think it is fine to switch between like Enfamil and Similac, but you can't go from Soy to regular, etc. without it upsetting DC's belly

Re: is it ok to switch formula a few times b/c..
My dr. was highly against it. I asked originally b/c the first formula was giving DS such bad gas he was in pain but Dr said to keep changing could exacerbate the prob and if other probs arose we would not know what was the actual cause (i.e. allergies...made sense to me?) Just one Dr opinion though ask your own perhaps?

Luckily my Dr, thinks like me (even MORE relaxed about EVERYTHING than me) so he was totally fine with me using whatever formula I had
For the most part we stuck to one or two the whole first year. and no changing around too much, and luckily my boys were easy babies and never had tummy troubles.
go with your mommy instinct !

My son's pediatrician says it's fine. He said it's like switching from Pepsi to Coke.
