Is it safe to get a pap while pregnant?
I have my second appointment in three weeks. It's for my fist sono and a pap. Is this safe to do? Is there any chance of it causing a miscarriage?

I was 10wks pregnant and they told me it's required to have one while pregnant. 
Anyway, I did it at 10wks and was fine after.

I had one at my first appt. at 7 weeks, totally fine to do.

It is certainly safe, and common practice. Most MDs do it at your first appt, along with STD testing via bloodwork.
Since I had had a pap about two months prior to my first OB appt, I did not have to have another one.

Yes, totally safe and standard practice if you haven't had a pap in the last 6 months.

You can always refuse it if you want.
Mine was done while with RE, so I was not pregnant at the time and then I didn't have one while pregnant

I think it is actually very common to have a pap in the beginning of the pregnancy. I had one.
I don't believe there is any link to them causing miscarriages. You just may experience some minor spotting.
