Is it standard to go for a progesterone check after IUI?

Is it standard to go for a progesterone check after IUI?
I saw some girls posting about progesterone checks about a week after having an IUI. Is this standard practice, or more on an individual basis?
I'm just curious, as I had my first IUI on Sunday, and wasn't told to come back for another 2 weeks. Thanks!

I never had that - I went back 2 weeks after IUI if AF hadn't arrived.

I think it depends on a few things. The first RE i went to didn't monitor me at all but i think it was because it was only my first cycle. I believe they might if the first one doesn't work (as i've seen other girls that go there have tested after their first).
My new'er' dr ALWAYS monitors after a week and put me on suppositories as soon as the levels were too low.

I never had my progesterone checked after an IUI. I always went back in 2 weeks if AF hadn't shown up.
