Is one month too far ahead to send out invites...

for a tastefully simple party?
I hate to get invites last minute but I am not sure if you send them too early people will lose them and forget.
Thanks :)

When I sold Tupperware, we were always instructed to have our party hosts mail invites to arrive 2 weeks before the party. People DO forget. Keep in mind, that you can invite 30 guests, 20 people will say "yes" and only 10 will show. You can count on people saying "no."

Thanks. I guess I will wait. I have given a heads up to everyone that I will be having a party that day so they won't be scrambling around last minute for a sitter.

I was going to suggest giving everyone a verbal reminder as well.
