Is Smirnoff good to use in Penne ala Vodka?
I thought I had Absolute, but I don't. The liquior store is closed today & I hate to have the make a trip tomorrow (if they are even open.
Is Smirnoff a good vodka to use?

I think it would be fine. Why not?
I'd probably avoid the really cheap, college-grade stuff in the plastic bottles but I think Smirnoff is good enough.

I actually am no expert on what's good stuff. but I had it in my house. Relief.....cause I forgot the liquor stores aren't open today (in NC)

Yes, that's what I use for penne ala vodka, works fine! For drinks it's not as smooth as higher end vodkas, but you don't notice that at all in a sauce.

I'm sure it will be fine. I actually use the cheapest vodka I can.. it has a stronger flavor (might be in my mind) that works well in the sauce!
