Penne ala vodka in advance?

making it for superbowl... just boiling pasta and jar sauce... after cooking it will place in a chafing dish

i dont want it to be mushy, but dont want it to be late out on the table..

How many 1lb boxes for 15 people?
how far in advance can i cook it?

Prepare the sauce and pasta earlier, and wait until serving to pour the sauce in.
