Is this a big renovation project? attic
Saw a home with an unfurnished attic.
Its completely covered in that type of insulation that looks like giant dustballs / cotton balls all over the place.
You can't even see the floor because its all covered with that stuff.
Is it a big project to get that all removed and a floor put in.
Not to turn the attic into a living space but to have a real floor so we can store stuff up there and use the space.
Thanks

There is most likely no real floor there - probably a sub floor. You’d need to add one over the insulation. You do not want to remove the insulation.

Leave the insulation and put plywood sheets over that. That's what we did in our attic, and also extended the electrical line so that there is more than one bulb up there to light the space.
My dad also put the light switch in the floor next to the attic opening, so this way we don't have to fumble in the dark for the light pull, and installed a grab bar to give us support when climbing up and going down.

You probably have an attic without a floor/subfloor that has insulation blown in. What you probably want is for plywood to be put down in the attic as a floor and you probably don't have to remove much of the insulation, just down to the top of the beams.
big is all relative, its not terribly hard or time consuming to do, but its not like a few hundred, its more like $2K. Figure from a material point of view you need 4x8 sheets of 3/4 plywood at $30 each for 1000 square feet thats around $1K plus install, nails incidentals etc.
