Is this a cheesy teacher gift?
I bought some ornaments from Michael's for DDs to decorate and give to their teachers. (I know they all celebrate Christmas). They are wooden, and theres Santa, a tree, etc. They'll be coloring on them with markers and writing their names and the year on the back.
Is this too cheap, should I get something else?

I always say you should give what you feel like giving but you could attach a $5 gift card to Starbucks to make it extra nice

I was going to but it is way too expensive for me this year. My older DD has 4 teachers in her class and the younger has 2.

I'm a teacher. I am not sue I would have the time or want to make the effort to decorate the ornament. I would rather have an ornament that is already made.

Re: Is this a cheesy teacher gift?
I think you have to do what you can afford. The only thing with ornaments is that some people are particular about their trees (ie themes, particular colors only, etc) so they may not get used and that would be a bummer.
What about a $5 gift card instead or a $5 candle. Maybe a spring scent for after the holidays are over?
Vera Bradley had some awesome deals. I got two of DD's teachers belts and they were only $5. They had small little ID wallets that were $5.
