Is this a good idea or is my DH trying to hard?
He offered to cook tonight. I said lets have chicken cutlets ... he agreed. I even breaded them for him. He said do you want me to bake them? I said, no, fry. He said what if we fry them for a minute to brown them and then bake them?
I was like
thinking, um why not just fry them the whole time?
I joked and said "ok, then we can throw them in the microwave and then the george foreman" lol
Shall I just cook the darn chicken cutlets myself?! He cracks me up. Does anyone fry them, then bake them???

I just fry them. They are so good when they are fried. It seems like more work to bake them after.
I vote for just frying. YUM!!

Some people do this to cut the fat in them, but keep the crispness of the fried flavor..it's not crazy... :)

I fry then bake. My cutlets are usually thick and I don't want to take a chance with them being undercooked. I also don't like too much fat. I am a somewhat healthy eater.

Yep, its fine to do. I do this with my chicken parm recipe and my chicken francese. Fry until lightly golden brown, then bake at 350 for about 20 minutes.

I do this too for this reason.

we do that a lot... with chicken and pork chops. you use less oil to brown them, so it cuts down on the fat, BUT you still get that crispiness that you wouldn't get if you just baked them.
