Is this a little weird?
So MIL calls us the other day to tell us that DH's cousin in LA adopted a baby. Wonderful news!
I've met this couple once at a family reunion two years ago. A little background, the wife is a brilliant medical researcher but has serious anger issues. We visited the San Diego Zoo with them and she spent the entire time berating her DH. It was very uncomfortbale. She refused to participate in any of the other family dinners/activities the rest of the weekend. DH tells me she's like this all of the time, so definitely a strange one.
Today we get a birth announcement and it's from the baby's paternal grandparents.
Isn't it a bit strange that the grandparents sent out the birth announcement?
Or, considering the mom is a bit of a wack-a-doo... does it make sense?
ETA: And yes, I am praying for this child, knowing the issues the mom has

I think it's strange that the baby's brother's grandparents would send out an announcement, when he's an only child.
I think it's different, so yes strange but I also think it's absolutely adorable that they would be so excited & send out their own. If I was the mom, I would be royally pizzed if I wasn't consulted however.

That does sound odd. I hope she has figured out a way to deal with her anger issues. A mom with such problems is a scary thought.
