Is this mean? I have not sent it yet.
I got an e-mail from a married male friend (below). He and his wife have a son (about 16 months old now).
lol lol lol lol As soon as you give me $20K or so for prental care, labor and delivery expenses & postnatal care in addition to $30,000 a year for the added expense of a baby and childcare costs in NYC plus $18,000 a year for toddler care expenses for 3 years and then $170K (with inflation likley about $300K) or so for private school tuition from age 5 to 18 years and college tuition of about $120K (with inflation probably $250K).
As soon as your check clears we will throw out all the birth control

You know why I don't understand people asking this question. Not only is it rude and none of their business.
But what if someone has been TTC unsucessfully or has had a miscarriage etc.?? I mean I would be crying everytime someone asked me.

I agree completely.
Sometimes it's an innocent question, even though I still think it's rude, but this guy crossed the line with "you're not getting any younger"

Ugh - when I told this RANDOM guy on the train that I wasn't sure yet if I wanted to have kids (he saw my e-ring and started asking me 23,753 questions), he told me "WELL, do yourself a favor and don't get married then - just live with the guy".
People are SO rude. He has NO IDEA what my situation is / anything about my life and yet feels the need to comment.
We also get it from MIL and FIL all the time. I feel like printing out your email response and handing it to them.

I use this one for my sister all the time. She is going to be starting IVF and when people make a comment I always say something to the effect of "How nice of you to rub my sisters fertility problems in her face" It always makes them realize it is none of their business and makes them feel like sh*t
I am fiercely overprotective of baby sister if you can't tell!

Yeah, if you really wanted to be mean you could tell him that you were all set to have kids untill you met his.
