Is this normal - Gym related
For people to put their stuff down at a treadmill and walk away? DH and I just joined and I went as soon as they opened and the treadmills were all taken, but three or four of them there was no one at just their stuff. It doesn't help matters that another 4-5 of them are out of order either.
It kind of annoyed me.

I've seen women put their keys and water on a treadmill while they hang their coat up. Not actually just leave it til they're ready to use it
If you notice that, I would mention it to the employees at the gym. They are supposed to be watching for that kind of stuff

Same here.
I'd be more pissed that the equipment is broken - I'd definitely complain to management about that.

Same here.

I did end up complaining about the broken machines. I think I was just so annoyed at that and then seeing the unused machines just annoyed me even more.

If no one was on them for an extended period of time then, yeah, that's pretty obnoxious.
Sometimes I use a treadmill as part of a circuit, so I'll be on there for like a half mile to a mile, or even just a minute,then go do 3-4 exercises, then come back to the treadmill, back to the floor, etc. That seems like a lot of people to be doing that kind of workout though.
Having 5 treadmills out of order is not really acceptable in my opinion. Definitely speak up to the staff.
