Re: PLEASE tell me this is normal (1st period related)
Is it normal for it to be heavy AND last for a lot longer than normal? I've had it for over a week now....and it's not showing any signs of slowing down....I'm really getting sick of it.

Yup normal. I remember feeling very panicky at work & asking another women if it was normal or if I should head to the hospital.

YES!! I had the same problem. I thought I had internal bleeding from my c-section. I had my DD 8 months ago and it's still kind of heavy. It get's better though.

Re: PLEASE tell me this is normal (1st period related)
TMI moment...
Mine was so heavy, I bled through a tampon and a maxi pad every 20 minutes or so... super duper strength....
I had to put a towel down in the seat of my car (lucky I had one) and still stained the seat...
AF #2 - I realized I sprung another leak on the way to a parent's house to do a training... I had to stop and buy a pair of pants at the Gap (was the only store nearby) - it was awful - I had to tie a jacket around my wast, held my work bag in front so no one would see, and then sneak into a nearby starbucks bathroom to change...
Oh it was sooo horrendous....

Re: PLEASE tell me this is normal (1st period related)
oh yes I soaked through a few tampons in 20-30mins. I remember I had gotten my 2nd or 3rd pp period at my cousin's graduation party which was a pool party. Needless to say I skipped going in the water that day.

Re: PLEASE tell me this is normal (1st period related)
I've heard it's totally normal!!
OK - I have another question for everyone...
Did anyone's first period take forever to fully start?? I've been spotting for over a week and I feel like it's coming, but I don't know if it's that or spotting from the mini-pill. DS was born 4/17 and I breastfed until 8/18. Does anyone have any advice??

Re: PLEASE tell me this is normal (1st period related)
Its normal. I freaked out when I first got my period back (took me 6 months since I EBF) but I though I was hemroging (sp?) that I called my dr and they told me to come in, ended up being just a heavy period and I was fine, and my periods after that were normal again.
