is this normal????? pregnancy pains
Has anyone experienced a feeling of what i would describe as a muscle tightening sensation on one side of their lower belly. Its almost a sharp pain if i move a certain way or stand up amd walk around otherwise i dont feel anything. Should i be worried or is this normal?
Im 16 weeks today...
Just wanted to add it just started now and i had kind of a stressful day... If that matters...

I had / have the same pains. Mine started around the beginning of my second trimester as well. I asked several people at work who gave birth recently and also asked my doctor. They all said it was normal. Everything is stretching out down there to make room for baby. My doc said to get used to it. There will be more.
One of my pains went into my leg. It hurt so much I was limping for 2 days.

I had similar pains and went to the hospital because it got so bad. I was told it was round ligament pain.

Thank you ladies. I looked up round ligament pain and i think thats exactly what it was.

So happy you posted this... I'm 17 weeks and just experienced this last night.
Not super sharp, but pain nonetheless. It woke me up a couple of times in the middle of the night.

Sounds like Round Ligament Pain...
agreed its like someones twisting off your ovary. Its very common. Im 19wks and I still get it if I move too fast from the couch or turning in bed.

yes i started getting this early on, 6 weeks i believe! i'm 9 weeks now and i still get it if i move the wrong way, getting out of the car, etc..
