The box says 1 1/2 but the website says 2+. I would have to find some accessories since Little Tikes didn't think to include them or even sell them separately but overall...is this okay or should I get something else?

OMG - my favorite toy ever!

Here's a bunch of toy grocery sets from amazon:

Play groceries

Some look more apropriate than others.

There's a cute stuffed set that comes w/ a shopping basket. It has a "fake knife & cutting board" that I would probably just give straight to the mom, but the rest of the set looks safe enough for a 1 year old.

I know DD would LOVE that toy. I'm not sure where to find the accessories though. I think it's a great choice.Chat Icon

I think so. But I'm only preg and not a mom yet. So you may want the opinion of someone less hormonal Chat Icon

It's PERFECT!

DD has one and she LOVES it. She loads it up and pushes it around the living room Chat Icon

Yes, just make sure that the play food is all big. Sarah's shopping cart came with some small pieces that Andy shoved in his mouth and started to choke on. Very scary. I still keep it in her room and away from him, he's almost 2.

Thanks...this is very helpful to keep in mind.

I wish Little Tikes made something.

Yes, DD got it for her first birthday and loves it! She pushes it around all over the place.

If you go to Toys R Us there is usually an entire section of fake food and groceries.

I think it's a great gift!
