We switched DS at 2.5 to the britax frontier 5 pt.
He is, at 3, 40 lbs but has very broad shoulders. I think he's average height. He doesn't fit well into a lots of strollers... He fit into the seat, but looked awkward.
He fits so much better in the frontier, even the crotch buckles better than my convertible britax.
I love the seat, and DS will stay in it for a very long time.
DD is currently using our old convertible. At 30 lbs, she fits well.
