Do you think how you come across online really identifies who you are in the real world?

i think so...

i'm an opinionated loud mouth, who is sarcastic and has a good sense of humor, (i can also be a little abrasive at times....Chat Icon)
but when push comes to shove, i'd give my right arm and last dollar to help someone out Chat Icon

I think I am this way...at least, this is how I hope I come across, b/c it's the way that I am.

Yes, except I am slightly shy in new situations. But once the newness rubs off, I'm not shy in the slightest!

Same here!

I completely agree with Christina's description as well. I am definitely like that.

PS- Love you, Christina, for being who you are! Chat Icon

I disagree. Hol you are much bitchier in person. Chat Icon

no. I am much more sarcastic in person- but since that rarely translates well on-line- I don't often type what I am thinking.

I think I am at least I try to be...I don't think you can tell much from my posts though- not sure- other people may be able to answer that better-those who have met me IRL too

I think I come across the same but I think that depends on what or who those perceptions are drawn from.

I'm a lot less scatterbrained in real life. I often edit posts around & hit "post reply" only to realize they didn't make sense.Chat Icon

I'm me - both here and in person. Although, my smile and laugh can't really be viewed here, but I'm friendly!

I think so. I like to make jokes and I make alot of faces when I talk so I love the emoticons. And when I stick up for what I think or feel, I really stick to my guns.

I have no clue how I'm perceived online (if I'm even perceived at all Chat Icon ), so I really couldn't answer the question.

Yeah, me too. I know in person I'm considered kinda dorky, an annoying brainiac, goofy, silly, and very giggly. I have no clue what kind of person I come across online and whether it matches the real deal.

Yes, I think it is pretty much the same. I am quiet and somewhat shy, but sometimes, when I'm feeling comfortable enough, the sarcastic, funny side of my personality comes through.

Re: Is your online persona the same as your real everyday one?

I think it is. But I don't know how others perceive me online.

I certainly don't have the time to be someone I'm not. It would take too much energy to create a whole new persona.

I try to be nice and supportive in my posts. And an occasional jab at celebrities is always fun (online and in real life!).
