Issues with LI IVF

Had a few hiccups in the beginning with them but I gave them a chance. Anyways I was supposed to pick up sample of endometrum suppositories at the WI Office and was told it will be in those boxes outside the building. My husband drove there from the Bronx during rush hour to find nothing was there. I called the on-call nurse and she said there was a miscommunication she was never
Told blah blah blah. Ok so next morning before work I go to personally pick it up, everything is fine until this morning I Noticed the samples were expired from February!!! I called and they said not to worry and apologized. I haven’t seen my Dr. since our consultation I am kind of over this place. I am praying this IUI works because I don’t want to deal with this again. I feel like they dont care at all.

If it doesn't work, please recommend a RE in Nassau.

Thanks!

Issues with LI IVF

What office do you usually go to? I just switched to LI IVF from RS of NY. I felt like at RS of NY I would often see many doctors and I didn't really like how they were handling my cycles month after month. I went to the West Islip office of LI IVF and I saw Dr Joseph Pena. I really liked him and hes the only doctor that goes to West Islip so I should be seeing a lot of him, except for IUI when I go to Melville which I don't mind.

I go to Melville, I see Dr. Pena too but I don't ever hear from him unless I have questions. Everything is done by the nurses even IUI. I like him but after how the staff handles things I'm not sure if I can continue. Thanks for your post!

I am biased because I love Li IVF. However - their lake success office.
If you want to switch, try switching within the practice. Dr. Brenner is out of lake success and I'm 30 weeks pregnant bc of him.
The staff at lake success is tiny and amazing. They'd know me on phone just by voice - and I def did not call all the time lol. It's two nurses who are both great. I never saw Brenner too much in beginning, but whenever they had to call with bad news - and there was plenty - he'd call himself and even gave me his cell number. So basically I saw him when it mattered.
Also, I left north shore bc I hated their office, and was so happy to be at Li IVF. If you ask around you'll hear lake success is much much better run.
Good luck

sounds like you are looking for a smaller practice.. i also went to a place that was very "factory" like. I eventually got pg with DS but I did have to advocate for myself a lot. Hoping some ladies on here can help with some suggestions.

Dr Pena is a weirdo. he also would never answer any questions we asked face to face until my meltdown a couple weeks ago.

However, our IUI worked (pretty sure it was dr brennar who did the procedure) and we were SUPER happy when we went to stonybrook office they are SO much better than patchogue & melville. They are always early and get you right in & out in the morning. they open 1/2 hr earlier so we still got home sooner even though its further than patchogue.

I only go to W Islip for monitoring, and never had any issues w/ the staff (Dr. Pena is not my regular RE) I HAVE had issues w/ a few of the other offices, but I've heard the grass isn't always greener ... so I stuck with my RE.

I think LIIVF is so big you can easily have a very different experience at a different office.
