a black cabbage patch kid. why is this soooo hard to find?

I went to 4 stores today...tons of white/asian...

Leo went to 2...then sent 2 employees out looking...finally a doll was found.

I live in a really diverse area, this was shocking to me.

I've never even seen one in stores. I mean, I know they made them, but I've never seen oneChat Icon

I really thought it would be nothing...I was looking for hispanic or black. Nothing.

At the first store, I had a black cashier. She asked if I found everything...told her no, I am looking for black cabbage patch.

She laughed and said I have to get there at 7 AM when the truck comes in.

And, if I find one, don't be picky on the outfits, just be happy I got what I got.

She said Christmas has gotten so much easier now that her daughter is 19.

well, I looked online...sold out online, in stores only. so I guess it really is a hunt.

So glad I found one though, the gift is for a little girl who has the laziest mother in the world, there is no way she could have found one.

That is sad. I heard a mom in TRU on black friday really upset over the fact a few of the dolls only came in white or asian models and she wanted a black doll ...I agree those are so much more easily found.

I dont get why the manufacturing is not the same for all?

Yeah maybe they don't order based on demographics?? Although the fact that they are sold out online says they are in high demand.
