It's definitely Lymphoma
So our dog Benny has aggressive Lymphoma - the vet thought it was that, so we took him to a cancer specialist and the biopsy results came back yesterday. We are so distraught over this. He's just 6 years old and he's our baby. We just started him on prednisone last night and we're going to try chemo starting tomorrow. He isn't showing any symptoms besides swollen glands. He's his usual happy self...which is one of the reasons why we're going the chemo route. The vet said that since it's aggressive that this is our best option.
Can anyone tell me about their experiences with dogs on chemo? What should I expect...I've done research, but would also like to hear about it from here as well.

I'm so sorry. I hope the chemo works. My dog was diagnosed with Lymphoma in October but we decided to try with steroid therapy. I'll pray for your pup!

A co-worker of mine is going through something very similar with her dog. Her vet gave her a ton of advice - also recommended she check out the cancer websites for lymphoma. She said the chemo, etc is very similar to what humans receive, but IMHO - talk to your vet. Get as much info as he/she can give.
I'm sorry you and your baby have to go through this.

Well his first round of chemo was last Thursday - all of lymph nodes seem to have shrunk - so much so that I cannot feel them anymore. Tomorrow is his second treatment...I hope he does as well as he did with his first.
