IUD Question
I have the copper IUDor IUC whatever it is called. But it is the 12 year one. But my AF has been SOOO heavy does it ever stop being this way

That's why I didn't get the copper one. That's a side-effect of it. Heavy periods.
On the other hand, I got the Mirena IUD and I do not get AF. Maybe spotting once a month, but that's what I love about it.

I am getting the paraguard on friday and I am aware of this side affect. My old obgyn did tell me it will take a few cycles before it isn't heavy anymore.

I had the paraguard for over 2 years & after the first 3 cycles, it was fine. Bleeding was actually lighter than usual & so was the cramping. My only warning: check the placement of it as much as you can (ask your doctor about it)!!! I got pregnant last year with the IUD. It had either moved out of place sometime between my exam in February & becoming pregnany in April OR, I was the small percent that it didn't work for properly.
