IUI schedule
This is going to be my first IUI. I am on CD 4 and started on Clomid yesterday (day 3) to day 7. I have to go in to the RE on Thursday to check to see how I'm responding to the Clomid. Let's say I'm responding well...(not really sure what that even means) When would I have the IUI done. I have the trigger in my fridge and I know they will tell me when but curious if anyone knows how many days after finishing the meds would they do the IUI? I'm just so anxious! Thanks!

Re: IUI schedule
It totally depends on how your body responds to the meds. Do you know when you normally O? most often u can expect too do an IUI within a few days of when your normally ovulate. Its not much different that a regular cycle in terms of timing. Hope that helps!!! Good luck!!

Re: IUI schedule
For me, I was always late to ovulate...........even on Clomid. When I conceived my DD I ovulated on CD22. Other IUI's that I had were between CD19 and CD24. It just really depended on my body that month.

Re: IUI schedule
Thank you ladies. The problem is that I never know when I ovulate because my cycles are all over the place and I never know when I will ovulate. That's why I was wondering.Thank you.

Me too, all over the place. But it shouldn't matter too much because you should be monitored quite closely, especially on Clomid so regardless of when you ovulate the RE should be able to catch it. If they see your follies are mature enough they will trigger you to ovulate and schedule the IUI accordingly after that. Don't worry, leave it to the doctors.............trust me, they won't let you miss your ovulation!!

Re: IUI schedule
My IUIs have pretty much been a pattern. I get the trigger on CD16 and IUI on CD17. however, its not an exact science. It really depends how fast the follicles the grow. I know they like to see a certain size. One of the frustrating things about the IUIs is having no idea when they will be!! Usually after the first one you can predict an around about time for the next (which hopefully there will NOT be a next one!!!) good luck

i have the same thing..i never knew if i was or will ovulate..
i was a notorious late responder so i would stim for a week then go back for blood and sono every other day the next week and usually around two and a half week into my cycle i would trigger and then go next day for the iui
if u r going for blood and sono they will tell u how u r responding and when to trigger and u will go in for the iui right after
good luck
