Paging all moms who live on the South Shore of Suffolk and can make a meal or babysit in the morning...
One of our moms on LIF is really sick due to severe morning sickness. Donna (LIF Screename: dm24angel)
could really use our support and help. Donna's Post
I FMed her today and asked her what she would need. Basically making meals and babysitting Noah in the morning when She is feeling really ill. Donna's mom works full time, so she really has no help during the day. Plus, the smell of food makes her so sick. Read her post that I have a link to on here, this is NOT your typical morning sickness.
If you want to help, please do not FM me or Donna. Please post here what you can make and the dates you can make a meal, or if you can babysit for a few hours to help Donna out. then, I will FM everyone the schedule and Donna's info.
Thanks again ladies!!! You are truly a remarkable group of women!!

Hi ladies,
Once again I am amazed by those of you who are willing and able to help out. It is warms my heart to see that when a mom is in need and going though a rough time, you support her though your actions and pitch in to help out. Ladies, you are all remarkable women. Donna FMed me and she said that if we can give her meal support for one week that would be enough. She does not need it for two weeks and would rather set up play dates instead of babysitting. Please FM Donna to set up play dates and FM me for meal support.
So, I put people on this schedule based on their answers to this thread and FM that was sent to me. If I put you down for a day that does not work for you, please FM me and let me know.
We need 9/2, 9/4, and 9/5 to be filled and then we are good to go! 
Here's the schedule:
Wednesday (8/27) - Mrs. Patticakes - Delivery
Thursday (8/28) - rojerono - take out/delivery
Friday (8/29)- Lucky - chicken cacciatore
Saturday (8/30)- Queenb - baked ziti
Monday (9/1) - Chica - Chicken Parm Casserole
Tuesday (9/2) - my3boys - Rotisserie Chicken with veggies and potatoes
Wed (9/3) - Prncss - mexican lasagna
Thursday (9/4) - jea128 - home cooked meal ??
Friday (9/5) - ckdk - delivery/take out

Yes, I am upstate and I will be sending take out over there next week. I will get back to you. THANK YOU for your quick response and willingness to help out Donna. 
Anyone know of any great take out places that deliver in the lindenhust / babylon area?

I am a terrible cook and work full time but would love to help out in any other way

I am available this Friday morning but would also have to bring DD. I live in Lindenhurst so I'm sure her new place can't be too far from me.
I could also definitely make a meal this weekend....maybe chicken cacciatore or something of the like, if it suits her family's taste.
ETA: Not too sure about many good places that deliver around Lindy but I could definitely be a runner here and there for meals. If anyone wanted me to pick up something at a local restaurant, I certainly could do that and deliver it (a couple of times a week). I return to work on Tuesday but I'll do what I can to help out a local mom! Poor Donna!

I'm in the midst of making huge meals right now, as I type this. I was freezing them for when I go back to work, so it works out perfectly for me to bring it to her. I have ziti, turkey meatballs and sauce, lemon wine chicken and a mexican lasagna, so I can seriously sacrifice one or two no problem.

I am available this Friday and a couple more days next week. I can either drop off food or bring DS with me and he and Noah can play (I think they are around the same age) and I can watch him for a little while. Let me know what you need!

Hi everyone.
Thank you soooo much for your support and help. Really, thank you is not enough.
Im gonna say Im OK with the babysitting, meaning I think I will make it. I feel a bit awkward accepting it and Noah has such attachment issues, it might back issues worse then better, but maybe we can set up playdates to keep him busy instead?
As far as the food. PLEASE no one go out of their way. That would make me sad. I will thank you, its something that would help us a lot.

I live in West Islip so it's not to far and if someone gives me a day I can drop off something for dinner just let me know what day and how many people will be eating. If it's during the day I can bring my kids (3yrs & 1yrs) for a playdate and watch your son for a little however warning my kids are very active

I don't know her I have established my self and I don't think she would feel comfortable with me watching her son since I am a stranger, But i would be more than happy to make lasagna for her. Or anything else. Do we have a list of things her family eats????

I think this is all a wonderful idea, but I am going to suggest that maybe people who want to babysit FM Donna privately. It seems that a lot of people are suggesting they will go to her house and watch Noah and hang out, and as we ALL know, that can be more work! So, if you think you can help with babysitting, then FM Donna and see what she needs for that!!
Such a wonderful group of women we have here!!
