Iui with meds in pcos - are many successful

Hi
I suffer from obesity with pros. Have 1 child but he is autistic. Hoping for a second child. Had 3 iui
at RSNY(clomijd) and 2 at north shore Lij (femera )and back to back for 1cycle ) ... All failed ..I am planning for an iui with meds... Are there a lot of success with it or am I just wasting money? ShouldI just aim for Ivf instead ?

You may want to look into the prices of each before making a decision. Pretty sure the expense of IVF compared to a medicated IUI cycle is still very substantial.

ETA: Sorry don't know anyone who has PCOS who did a medicated IUI cycle. I do know people with PCOS who have had success with IUI so I am sure a medicated cycle would have some success behind it.

I did a medicated IUI back in 2008 (was actually just reading my old posts last night). I used follistim and had to cancel the cycle because of OHSS and some kind of cysts (forget the name) that were bleeding on my ovaries. Because of the PCOS I was hyperstimming. I was moved straight to IVF after that.

I have PCOS and conceived my DS on our 1st cycle trying. We did a medicated back to back IUI cycle. Metformin, Clomid, and Ovidrel.

I have PCOS and conceived 3x as a result of a medicated IUI cycle... one resulted in my son, one ended in MC and I'm currently pregnant with fraternal twins. Good Luck!!

i got pregnant twice of a medicated iui,they were not successful but that was for other reasons
