IVF #3 has started (updated 4/29 BETA 4!)

Did Lupron for 8 days. Then started Ganirelix. I went in yesterday for BW/Sono and everything looked great so Dr. T said I could start stimming yesterday. I was surprised bc the plan was to start on Thursday. I'll take it less waiting and stabbing of ganirelix.

The Plan:
Ganirelix everyday in the am
Gonal F 375
Menopur 1 vial
HGH- Saizen- Starting tomorrow
Prednisone
Folgard
Prenatal with DHA
COQ10
Vitamin D

I started back up with acupuncture a month ago. I am gonna start going 2 times a week this week. I only did acupuncture for my FET so I'm hoping it helps.

Next week I go in for intralipids for the partial dq alpha match.

I'm really hoping the new RE, new lab, and the change in protocol/meds makes all the difference. Hoping for some quality embryos.

We NEED lots of BFPs this month!

**Update 3/28**

After 4 days of stimming I went in for monitoring today.

Lining was 6 something

I have 6 follicles on each ovary measuring between 7 and 12 and some other tiny ones. So they are all pretty small but I'm happy he could measure 12 of them. I am continuing on the same dose of meds and go back on Monday. We pushed my intralipids to Thursday bc I will probably be stimming for a while. With my last IVFs I stimmed for 12 days.

I'm hoping a few more pop up on Monday and they are all growing nicely.

**Update 3/31**
Lining is 11! Dr. T said that was great and what he wanted to see.

Right ovary 5 follicles (I guess 1 disappeared?)
Left ovary 7 follicles
Sizes ranging from 9-16. So they are still on the small side. 3 more nights of stimming and then back on Thursday. Same dose. Intralipids on Thursday as well. Possible trigger Thursday or Friday. ER Saturday or Sunday! Added in Cipro.

I feel like crap! No fever but a little cough and completely drained. I felt like I would faint on the train ride home (standing room only didn't help). I think the prednisone might be bothering me. Now with Cirpo in the mix let's see what happens. Bedtime.

**Update 4/3**
Lining is 11 something
Right ovary 7 follicles
Left ovary 6 follicles (now 1 disappeared form this side...lol)
They are measuring 10mm to 21 mm. I think the next size behind the 21 is 19.
Dr. T had thought I would be triggering tonight but nope back tomorrow for BW and US. He doesn't wanna loose the 21 but wants the smaller ones I think there were like 10s and 12s to catch up. I asked him out of the 13 he sees how many does he think will end up being mature. He said its hard to tell but maybe about 9. I was hoping for more but I guess I gotta work with what there is.

I did intralipids today also. I started crying and was an emotional mess. great. This Prenisone and Cipro combo is really getting to me.

Back tomorrow and then hopefully triggering.

**UPDATE 4/4**

Things are looking much better today.

Right ovary- 9 follicles
Left ovary- 9 follicles
Yesterday we only had 13 measurable so 18 sounds good to me. The sizes are 12mm to 23 mm. Most seemed to be in the high teens. I think there was one 12 and one 13 so hopefully they grow by Sunday. I asked how many he thought would be mature and he said at least 9 (then he knocked on wood). I asked if we would loose the 23 and he said maybe and he wasn't sure about the smaller ones. I'm hoping the little guys grow to be mature by Sunday. My goal is 10! Anymore than that I will be excited. Our issue is quality though so I need some good embryos.

Dr. T won't be doing my ER though so thats a bummer. Dr. Brown is doing it. Anyone have any experience with her? At least he will do my ET.

Oh yeah and I just pulled the trigger. He had me do the Novarel in my arm which I have never done. ER is Sunday at 9:30.

Nervous but trying to be hopeful.

**UPDATE 4/6**

Had my ER this morning. I was the only one getting an ER today so it was very quiet. Dr. Browne was nice. So she retrieved 16 eggs. I'm hoping for a good amount of them to be mature and fertilize. Hopefully tomorrow I will have a good update! A little crampy now...rest time. Transfer most likely on Friday. I have to start PIO today...fun.

ALL 15 Fertilized! I was shocked. Best Fert Report we ever had. (Last time 9 of 14 fertilized)

ET on Friday! I'm hoping my little embryos do well and we have some good quality ones to transfer and some to freeze.

**UPDATE 4/9**

Got a call with my day 3 fert report.

14 embies are still growing.
12 of the 14 are where they would like to see them by day 3. They want them 6 cells or above on day 3. SIRM grades the embryos 1,2,3 (not sure if there is a 4). 1 being the best. I'm used to the AA, BB rating but thats not what they use. The nurse said about 85% that they see in their labs are grade 2's. Below is their current amount of cells and grade. The grades can change.

3-10 cell embryos all grade 2
1-9 cell embryo grade 2
3-8 cell embryos 1 is grade 1 and 2 are grade 2
3-7 cell embryos 2 are grade 2s and 1 is grade 3
2-6 cell embryos 1 is grade 1 and 1 is grade 2

They are watching these 2 bc they are measuring behind:
1-4 cell embryo grade 2
1-3 cell embryo grade 3

I thought it was interesting that an 8 cell and a 6 cell are graded 1 while the 10 cells are not. Hoping they all continue to do well and that I get some good ones to freeze and transfer. I know anything can happen between now and Friday. Transfer at 1:15 on Friday. Hoping one of these little guys implants and finally sticks.

**UPDATE 4/11**

We transferred an early blast grade 1 and an expanded blast grade 2. Not really sure how it works with an early blast getting a higher rating than an expanded blast...anyone? I never had any grade 1s. My highest ever was a BB (different lab) so grade 1 makes me happy! RE said the embryos looked good. There are 2 others that look good but they are waiting to see if they make it to freeze. There are a bunch of other ones too but they will have to catch up in order to be able to freeze. Really hoping we get at least 2 to freeze.

DH was in the room so that was nice. They are way more relaxed there than RSofNY. Like DH didn't have to suit up or anything and I didn't have to wear a hair net.

I'll be on PIO and a suppository that is an estrogen/progesterone mix. FUN

Please let this be it! Its so hard to be hopeful when this is my 4th and maybe last transfer. BETA on the 21st.

**Update 4/14**
So out of all those embryos only 1 made it to freeze. Its a grade 2. I am disappointed because we had an excellent fert report, a great day 3 report, and a lot still going on day 5. Now we loose a FET which would have been partially covered by insurance.

Hoping these 2 inside of me stick so I don't have to worry about only having 1 frozen.

**Update 4/21**
BETA is finally in and its 59. I'm TRYING to be cautiously optimistic. I am shaking as I type this. I know this is the best number I ever had and is above the 50 they like to see but not really high. Thoughts?

I did not POAS so I was expecting a BFN or another low number.

If BETA doubles on Wednesday then I go back in for intralipids on Friday. This is gonna be the longest 2 days!

BETA 2 is 148. More than doubled. Doubling time of 35 hours. Please let this be it!

***Update 4/25**
Did intralipids today.

BETA 1 59
BETA 2 148 (35 hours doubling time)
BETA 3 283 (59 hours doubling time- was done way later in the day than beta 2)

BETA 2 had great doubling time beta 3 not so much. So while its only 13 points less than doubling it was done 7 hours later than BETA 2 so 55 hrs later. I don't know what to think. Now I'm nervous its not rising like it should. Thoughts? I was given the option to wait for US on May 6th or another BETA. So another BETA on Tuesday.

***UPDATE 4/49***
4 days after BETA 3 (283) BETA 4 is 2,783!!! I can't believe it. Its a doubling time of 26.68 hours. I'll take it....shocked but starting to feel like maybe I am actually pregnant. Today is 5w2d, first US at 6w2d. Fingers crossed everything continues to go well.
