How many did you transfer and on what day? DH and I were discussing this last night. The next time i talk to the Embryologist will be tomorrow for our Day 3 Report, but she believes we will go to Day 5 on Saturday.

Our original plan was to transfer 2, but the RE advised against it on transfer day because I was at a heightened risk of OHSS and because she felt that my DD's quality was so good, OHSS is worse if you become pg and didnt want to put me at a risk of twins....

We transferred 2 on day 3. We would have transferred 3 but only had 2 on day 3. I had my consultation a month after I turned 37 and my RE said that I am no spring chicken (his words) and suggested 3.

1st IVF: 2 on day 5
2nd IVF: 3 on day 5
3rd IVF: 4 on day 5
4th IVF: 5 on day 3

I got pg on the 3rd IVF (DS is 10 months) and currently pg with #2 from the fourth.

I went with the RE's reccs.

Did 2 on CD 5 (but 1 of the two looked "fantastic").

Had 2 to freeze.

Had 18 to start. 10 fertilized.

They make reccs based on how many you have and how good they look (as well as age, ect).

I am preggo with one.

IVF # 1 transferred 1 on Day 3 - pregnant but lost it at 7 weeks

IVF # 2 - transferred 2 on Day 5 - DID NOT get pregnant

IVF # 3 transferred 3 on Day 3 - pregnant with twins lost one at 7 weeks delivered healthy DC

As you can see I got pregnant both times on Day 3 transfers and DID NOT pregnant from a Day 5 transfer....

We decided to do 2 (haven't gotten that far yet)

2 raises the odds, 3 seemed too much. We have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility, so as far as we know all could take, but also none could take, so we went for the middle ground.

3 embies on a 3 day transfer. My RE would not push me to a 5dt.

For my last cycle which was a FET, we did 2 (but that's all I had to transfer) however even if I had more we still would have only transferred 2 for the FET since they are already in the blast stage.
