IVF Girls working on Baby #2..............

...................have you been able to get pregnant again? Did it take longer than the first time? Did you follow the same protocol as you did with baby #1? We conceived our DD last year through Metformin and IUI and we're heading back to the RE again on the 17th to start prepping for #2. Not looking forward to all the testing and monitoring but I know I have no choice if I want to get pregnant again. So far NOTHING has changed with me since having my DD. My cycles are still a wreck. I've had a period maybe twice in the year since I've had her and I'm almost 100% positive I'm still not ovulating. Anyway, I'm hoping with the help of the RE we'll be able to conceive again. What have your experiences been with trying for #2? TIA!!!!

Unfortunately I am not a positive story. We got pg with DD on a natural cycle just before our first ivf. We were told to skip iuis bc our MFI were so bad, But for #2 its been 2 1/2 years, 4 iuis, 1 cancelled ivf, 3 other ivfs, a miscarriage and no baby. I have my miracle and am thinking that is what will be. It makes me sad though bc as much as I want another baby I know she wants one too.

My DS was conceived on our 3rd IUI/Clomid cycle
( I had been on clomid w/ timed BD prior to that for a few months )

Did 6 IUI/Clomid cycles while trying for DD and they didn't do the trick so we moved onto IVF...1st cycle was a chemical, 2nd cycle (fresh) we conceived her...So we did have to get more aggressive the 2nd time around ...Good Luck !!

Sorry it's been such a long road for you guys. I am hoping like crazy I will get lucky twice. All things considered it wasn't a long road for us the first time. Once I started being treated by an RE we were pregnant in 4 months. I don't always ovulate and my cycles are all over the place. I was put on Metformin in Sept. '07, got my first (and only) egg Dec. '07 and was pregnant by IUI (no Clomid) on Jan 2, 2008. The rest is history. I am hoping the same protocol will work again since I've had success before. I'm still having the same issues as before so I'm just praying I will get lucky twice with the Metformin/IUI.

Anyone else have experience to share with TTC baby #2? TIA!!
