I had so many problems with Cingular and dropped calls. I have Verizon now and absolutely love it. Also, my ex boyfriend had left his cell in my car that night of the big blackout a few years ago. I couldn't reach anyone on my phone, but his phone was verizon and I was able to call my parents no problem.

Best: T-Mobile (I've had them for 7 yrs and have not had any issues with coverage in US or Caribbean, customer service is good.)
Worst: Sprint (Horrible customer service and shotty coverage)
BEST:ITA as I had service in Barbados and Jamaica with T-mobile. Also I get the most $$$ phones and they give me great discounts. I just got the G1 and paid less than a new customer--woo hoo
Worst: Sprint--Horrible customer service and phone didnt have a Sim card so breaking ocntract meant losing out on phone.

Best - Verizon. I always have service, DH used to have T Mobile and never had it when i did. They have great customer service and will always work with you to find an option that is good for you. I've been with them for the past 10 years.
Worst - T Mobile. DH bought a new phone and specifically signed up for one year contract. One year is up and he goes to cancel. They try to tell him he signed up for 2 years and he has to pay a cancellation fee of $275. He had proof that he signed a one year contract, but because the store he signed up at 'lost' the contract, we went through countless phone calls with their customer service to get them to finally drop the fee. I feel like they were all about scamming the customers, slipping in extra charges when you weren't looking etc. Very bad customer service from several friends who used to be with them also.

I've had Nextel/Sprint for years now and have never had a problem. Depends on which area you areinI guess.
Same here...
AT&T was great when I lived in the city, but sucks on LI, IMO.... it was always cutting out. I've heard nightmare stories about T-Mobile.

Worst: I can't really say because I have not personally experienced any other carrier.
I also have to add that I work for Sprint and was a customer before I became an employee. I have had their service for about 10 years now and have never had a problem.
For every person who writes that Sprint/Nextel is the worst, it is like a stab in my heart! If anyone ever has any questions or issues, please don't hesitate to reach out to me... I may not personally be able to fix it, but I can find someone who can!  (we are trying to turn around the perception that we are terrible!)
