Jack HATES shopping - GASP - I know!
What the heck can I do about this?
The kid cried the entire time we were at the mall.
I had 6 presents to buy and had to rush through like a crazy woman.
He screamed the entire time he was in the stroller. And then - the entire way home.
It's enough to drive me to a nervous breakdown. You all will have to get LIF hooked up to my insane aslyum.
I NEED to get things done and can't if he is screaming on the top of his lungs.
The kid hates his Maclaren. At this point I don't know if I should whip out the Metrolite again - or if he just hates being strapped down.
What can I do?
I need a drink
ETA: The only time he was quiet was when he was drinking his bottle when we first got there.
Puffs work also - but I have to hand them to him - so it's hard to push, shop, and hand him them at the same time!

I have toys coming out my azz for him. They are strapped to the side of the stroller - I bring tons of balls (he's obsessed with them) - NOTHING works.
Oh - let me add - he does stop screaming when I am walking like a maniac through the mall. I'm like Speed Racer! The second I step into a store - it starts all over again!

I can - but then I can never get him back in.
I do this when I am out shopping with my mom - but it's so much harder to carry him (28lbs), push the stroller, and shop, all at the same time all by myself.

Can you do your running workout at the same time since he likes "racing"?
In all seriousness, DS HATES Target. We went there today. He behaves himself but you should see his face. BORED to death. I almost took a pic of him. He was like a grown up man going shopping with his wife. His head is hanging on the side staring at the emptiness. It's pathetic!!!!!
What I try to do if I will stay a while in the mall is go at his nap time. I bring his pacifier and put him in flat recline. He usually falls asleep for a LONG time.

what about the baby carrier? on your back or front? I don't know there has to be a solution if the stroller isn't working.. I mean he hates it I would feel bad, I would want to carry him and make him feel better.. I know BADDDDDDDDDDDD

Oh I tried that yesterday at the dr.'s office. Bad idea when you have a heavy little load who wants to go everywhere and he does not walk yet.

30lbs is some workout .. my pea is almost 14lbs and she is almost 6mts.. I swear she thinks she is fat and is on a diet..

But, Sophie - THE KID WON"T NAP IN HIS STINKING STROLLER.

I tried a baby carrier back when he was about 4 months old - he hated it!

Lollipops. They keep Noah occupied for AGES.
And they are full of sugar. Thats what he eats. Sugar sugar sugar.

OMG - A lightbulb just went off.
He hasn't napped in his stroller since December 5th.
I stopped using the Metrolite around Christmas.
Maybe it's the damn Maclaren.
OMG
Maybe I'm not doomed.
I'm going to my parents house tonight to pick the Metrolite back up!

My saving grace was the race car stoller that they rent (at Smith haven Mall) or are free at Roosevelt Field (I think thats the one)...My DS did the same thing (He's 2.5) and finally I caved in and spent the 4 bucks on the stupid car and it was the best investment I could have ever made...That and a few Auntie Anns pretzel sticks...Good Luck- I feel your pain !

He learned to nap in his stroller ever since we did stroller walks when he was an infant.
I walk usually everyday around my neighborhood for 40 minutes to 1 hour.
The rolling on the pavement will make him fall asleep.
Do you go walking outside with Jack? It would be a good start for him to learn to stay in the stroller for a while and fall asleep. We had not done either since December due to the weather but we started again when the weather was a bit nicer.
I do have to say that the stores are still a challenge if I stop walking and browsing.

You know I feel your pain. I posted about this a month or so ago. DD hates being in the stroller, hates it. Will cry until I pick her up out of it (no distractions like food, toys, etc work), then after a few minutes of me pushing the stroller while carrying her, she's fighting me to let her get down to crawl (obviously not possible in most spots).
I don't have any suggestions, but I totally, totally, totally feel your pain & frustration 
ETA: It does still continue to crack me up that you know the date of the last time he fell asleep in it Seriously cracks me up. And Jack's girlfriend has only fallen asleep in the stroller ONCE, ever
