Our 1 year old lab, Jake, decided he wants to regress and start being "bad" again. When we're not home, he is left in our bedroom and also has access to our office and the hallway (we fence the rest of the house off). The other week when we came home, we found that Jake pulled DH and my socks out of the hamper and tore them up. This is something that he hasn't done since he was really little. DH and I were actually just talking about how good he has been and that, maybe, by the summer, when we're not home, we'll let him have the run of the house. But now he started to do this and we don't know what to make of it. The kick of it is, is that he KNOWS he shouldn't do that. When we come home and find the socks, we pick them up and just look at him with it in our hand. He immediatly hangs his head and goes in his crate as to put himself in a time out.

I work from home most days a week so he's not by himself much. And he gets tons of attention and exercise from DH and I.

Anyone go thru this? Is this some rebelious stage?
