Janie & Jack dress sizing

Do you find they run big or small, or average?

For example, I know Gymboree dresses are huge on DD for their size-- she swims in 12-18 mo dresses but fits in their other clothes in that size.

Do they have a size chart with actual measurements?

This is what their site says:
18-24 MONTHS 31-33 27-30 lbs 20.25 19.75 20.75

2T (2 YEARS) 33-36 30-32 lbs 21 20.25 21.5

It's for the dress I've been searching for that's been found Chat Icon , for DD's b-day next year (2). So I have no clue which size she'll be. Guess I could get 2T and get it taken in if it's too big, huh? Better too big than too small. Chat Icon

Oh OK, that's good to know. Maybe I'll go for the larger size and can always have it taken in if needed.

What size is she wearing now?

I would get 2T personally.

She's in 12-18 months still, very comfortably. Hoping she's in that size through winter too. She's always been very true-to-size.

I'm thinking 2T also...I just worry b/c I know some dress companies swim on her-- Gymboree especially...I mean, HUGE!!

If she is in 12-18 months, you will need 2T.

DS is in 18 months. He will be in 2T this winter. So most likely about 3T next summer.

I think 2T will work for a her birthday since it's early summer.

Since it looks like it is silk I would get 2T. Their is no give to it. I plan on getting DD 2T for next summer.

Re: Janie & Jack dress sizing

DD had a 6-12 month dress from Janie & Jack from Easter and she wore it again on Mother's day. It definitely still fit on mothers day BUT she wouldn't have gotten much more wear out of it (tighter in the chest area). I would say they might run slightly small to true to size. Just to give you an idea she was in 6-9 month clothing on Mother's day. In fact when I tried to put her in a capri outfit the pants would fall off in size 12 months.
