January Mommies..time to check in
So how are we doing? Are we finding out the sex, ordering furniture, picking bedding, starting to plan a shower, showing or anything else?
We are team GREEN, going next month to IKEA for furniture, picked Monkeying Around from baby super mall as the bedding, shower will be 11/15, and i'm still throwing up all day every day! I can't see a belly yet, but others have started commenting so I must have something! Still down 10lbs but doing a bit better. Can feel Peanut everyday now and it feels like a pager going off

Re: January Mommies..time to check in
Im doing pretty good. Morning sickness is GONE but Im still pretty exhausted and now massive heartburn has kicked in We go on the 20th to find out boy or girl. Im so excited its all I think about. Im still pretty certain that its a boy but I would love another girl. I really haven't done much planning because I figured I would wait till after I find out the sex. I've gained about 6lbs already and my belly is getting pretty big LOL. I can feel the baby here and there when Im in bed but nothing consistent yet.
Im switching OB's and have my first appointment with the new OB Sept. 2. I really want to try for a VBAC and my current OB is not comfortable with supporting them at all.
Thats about it...
How is everyone else?

Re: January Mommies..time to check in
Hi ladies!!
I'm 17w5d, due Jan. 10th. So far, so good! (Knock on wood!) I really can't complain!
The annoying "brick in stomach" feeling is finally gone, and I haven't felt nauseous in weeks. I have a little belly, and gained 8 pounds so far. But people keep telling me how small I look and it's getting rather annoying. I FINALLY bought some maternity pants this week. Sooooo much more comfortable!
I started researching registry stuff but am nowhere near done yet. My Level 2 isn't until Aug. 31st! You ladies are so lucky to have earlier appointments!! We are planning on finding out, so we'll probably register early Sept.
And - I'm happy to announce, that for the first time last night, DH got to feel the baby move!! I thought I felt a few light taps on Tues. (during yoga class), and I felt them again after dinner last night. DH put his hand on my belly at the right time and felt a tap too! It was so exciting!!!
Feel well, ladies!!!

Re: January Mommies..time to check in
So far I've only gained 4 pounds, but my belly has a buldge to it. I've only felt my peanut a couple of times, but when we went to the doctor two days ago he/she was twisting and turning all around . As for the nursery, I have no idea what to do with it ! I want to stay team green, but I can't find a bedding set that I love and is netural.
I never had an morning sickness or other symptoms other than fatigue. I joke around that if DH and I weren't trying to concieve, I'd be one of those women on an episode of I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant!
I can't believe how fast the summer has gone by, the first half of this pregnancy is flying. I just hope it stays this way for the last half !

Re: January Mommies..time to check in
I'm 19w1d and am showing. I've felt Bean once for sure (although there were a few other times where I wasn't sure).
We go for our sono on 8/20 so we can find out or .
Our shower is in the works and we're waiting to close on our new house before we do anything with a nursery.
Time seems to be flying by!

Re: January Mommies..time to check in
Good morning ladies!!
We need to check in more!! I want to get to know all of you better!
I am 16 weeks 3 days and I feel great. This is my 2nd pregnancy (just gave birth 5.5 months ago- 2/21 to a beautiful baby boy)
I am up 1.5lbs (had 10lbs to go to get to pp weight when i got pregnant, so add the 1.5 to that i guess)
This pregnancy is easier and harder at times- easier cause i feel great and because of ds i dont have time to think about being pregnant. Also, i know what to expect so there is no nervousness i guess. harder because i dont have any time to relax and put my feet up, i'm trying but so far its not happening.
we find out the sex on 8/26 and I cant wait. We are hoping for a but as long as it is healthy we are happy.
I started wearing the bella band this week and will hopefully have a few weeks with that before full maternity clothes..
How is everyone else doing?

Re: January Mommies..time to check in
I'm 17 weeks today, due Jan. 16th. I registered last week at BRU, I'll probably add some more at Target or Walmart. I love everything we picked out! Thank god its starting to go fast now! My level II is Aug 26th but we're team green so hopefully we can stay strong! I'm feeling better a little more energy but still get really tired once in a while. I'm definately showing, according to me although I got my 1st congratulations yesterday from a stranger. I felt so happy and relieved that someone knew I was pregnant and not think I'm fat! I gained 4 lbs so far even though it feels like a million. I'm waiting for my new camera to get delivered so I can post some belly shots! Glad everyone is doing well!

Re: January Mommies..time to check in
I will be 17 weeks on Saturday:)) I've gained about 8 lbs so far and have been wearing the belly band for a few weeks now. I finally broke out the old maternity pants and boy, are they much more comfy than my old clothes. Feeling much better than the first trimester but this time is still much different from last time. Level II sonogram is scheduled for 9/3 - i have a feeling it's girl this time Stay tuned

Re: January Mommies..time to check in
I'll be 14 weeks on Sunday. I'm feeling good - just exhausted still. Still some cramps on and off too - doc said its just the usual growing. M/s is still there but not as much. Definitely showing, in maternity clothes already. Level II isn't until Sept 8th, but we're staying Team Green! Not registering for a few more weeks yet and shower won't be until late Dec. But I am looking into signing up for birthing classes.

Re: January Mommies..time to check in
16wks today and aside from still feeling a little tired no complaints! We hope to find out the sex next month at our sono. Not really feeling any real disinct movements yet still waiting for that. I've pulled some of my old maternity clothes but still have been getting away with elastic shorts as well. I've been seeing a group of midwives who so far I love.

Re: January Mommies..time to check in
Feeling great! The ms is gone and the fatigue is wearing away... thank goodness. We found out that we are team and couldn't be happier - I never had a big brother growing up, so I'm happy that my kids will... maybe it's weird?? We are registering in the next few weeks... can't wait for that

Re: January Mommies..time to check in
Hi ladies! January 21 here. This is my first and I am clearly showing. I've only gained about 6 lbs, but my belly is pretty obvious. MS was brutal during the whole month of June, but thankfully the nausea is gone now. I still have headaches and dizzyness that lasts all day, every few days, but at least there are some good days mixed in there. We are finding out the sex on Sept 1 and cannot wait to start designing the nursery! Here's a fun secret....I was a little hesitant to put a registry up so early, but I was itching to start, so I went to BBB and created a registry under an alias, so friends and family can't find it yet. I LOVE playing with it and updating it based on all the good info here and in Baby Bargains (best book!). As soon as we find out the sex, we'll change the alias to our real names. It's my guilty pleasure, but I can't take credit...the lady at BBB suggested it.
Hope everyone's feeling great!!

Not a problem!!! I like to see how everybody else is doing as well...it makes me feel so not alone in this!
So it seems like most ARE going to find out the team! I'm so envious of you guys!!!!! Our level 2 is 08/24 and I just pray we can stay strong for it! We're pretty set on Green, but I fear I may have a moment of weakness....I only hope Joe can redirect me when they ask

Re: January Mommies..time to check in
I am 16 weeks on Tuesday. This may sound strange but I am more fatigued in my 2nd trimester than I was in my 1st. I've never had morning sickness, thank God. I do get that queasy feeling though on an empty stomach so I am always eating... Especially carbs so I plan on getting myself to the gym soon to start a light workout program.
I started using the tummy sleeve (Mimi Maternity's version of belly band) this week but I find it annoying since you can see the outline of the open button of my jeans through my top.
I think I gained 6 pounds so far... probably none from baby & all from food. lol My favorite things to eat recently are french fries, watermelon, chocolate milk, and cheesy pizza.
We find out the sex on 9/8.. can't wait but I wish they would tell me next week at my 16 week apt.

Re: January Mommies..time to check in
I'm 17w today - feeling a lot better but still not exactly great. The queasiness seems to be gone, but the food aversions persist so eating still sort of presents a challenge. Only up 1 pound so far but definitely showing - I bloated early on and it never really went away - just became firm. My casual clothes actually still fit but I work in an office and dress pants have not been working for awhile. I bought maternity clothes awhile back since this summer was full of out of town weddings and now that I actually need them, a lot of my stuff is too big since 1 pound up with a belly means I've actually lost weight in my hips and thighs - never thought I'd be complaining about that but it's frustrating because nicer maternity clothes for work are $$$$ and I basically wasted a bunch of $ on clothes that don't work and have had to get stuff that does. Lesson learned. I may have to start selling some stuff on ebay!
We have our anatomy scan on the 25th and are planning to find out. I also have a doctor's appointment Friday and he usually does ultrasounds so maybe we'll know then.
I think I can feel the baby but I'm having sort of a hard time telling - looking forward to getting clarity on that and being able to feel more!
Glad to hear most of us are feeling good these days! Hope things continue to get better!!

Re: January Mommies..time to check in
It is amazing how when you cross over the 14 week mark you feel amazingly better.... besides being exhausted from chasing ds around i feel pretty good... we are team green... we havent done ANYTHING for this baby ( i know it is bad) except look at strollers... everything is still out for the 10 month old so i guess it has impeeded our thought process....
did stock up on lots of ice cream for my heartburn (STRICTLY FOR MEDICINAL PURPOSES)
