japanese ginger dressing
Where can I buy the Japanese ginger salad dressing? i don't recall ever seeing it in the supermarket!

i get it from Target and noticed the other day that either pathmark or waldbaums had it too. its in the refrigerated section

I love it too...and while I find some sesame ginger ones...none I can find has the exact taste & consistency of the restaurants.
Any particular brand you are buying?

I had been searching and searching for a dressing like the one served in Kotobuki. Finally found it. You can buy it in the refrigerated section in the produce section. It is by Makoto. It is their Ginger Dressing. It is soooo yummy.

this is the one i get too - its delish! (when you see it on the shelf it looks yuk - the ginger is separate from the oil...just shake it up and then it looks & tastes great)
it also lasts longer then buying it from benihana

some restaurants actually sell their own dressing
my friend sent me a recipe for ginger dressing ill post it when i get a chance..don't know how it tastes though! haven't made it yet!

here is the recipe for Benihanas (supposedly)
1/2 cup minced onion
1/2 cup peanut oil
1/3 cup rice vinegar
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
2 tablespoons minced celery
2 tablespoons ketchup
4 teaspoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper| 1. Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high speed for about
30 seconds or until all of the ginger is well-pureed.
Makes 1 3/4 cups.

Whole foods has ginger dressing by the sushi and they also have a spicy ginger one too which is really good

Stop and shop used to sell it (haven't bought it in a while) and I have seen it in a few other grocery stores. It is in usually in the refrigerated area - where they have the refrigerated dressings and the tofu etc.
