JCP furniture - shipping charges

I had no idea JCP's furniture shipping was so expensive. We are trying to decide on a tv stand for our basement tv and I really like this one...

Shipping will be $190 on a $599 piece - ugh!

C&B shipping is $100 but there is a possibility that we may be able to pick up in store. Personally I like the JCP piece better but not sure if I can justify the extra $200 for shipping - I have issues with pay that much for shipping!

We need a fairly long piece (60''+) thanks to DH's 46'' tv and speakers that will be wall mounted...

There is a JCP free shipping coupon out there but it excludes furniture with truck delivery - of course

Are there ever coupons that can be applied to furniture purchases for JCP?

If you can pick up the piece at the store, you can save a lot of money on shipping charges. You can also try to find coupons to reduce the amount of what the piece cost so that you are able to apply it to the shipping charges if the piece cannot be delivered to the store. Do a coupon search online. I always do that first before I order anything online to save some $$$.

I don't think they have free shipping for furniture. They use a delivery company instead of UPS.

can you go to the JCP store and see if you can get it there? Take a print out of the item.

You can ship to the store from jcp.com. it saves you about 50% on shipping cost.

sometimes the free shipping coupons will work if you are shiping to the store instead of you home.

I just got free shipping by shipping to the store and using a regular free shipping coupon on my son's crib & dresser.

Thanks for all the advice...however this item is considered "online only" and when I select a store it tells me it is not available for this feature

I will check out the retail me not coupons but I already tried a ton and they didn't work I am really bummed...was considering purchasing bedroom furniture for ds from there but not anymore now that I know their crazy shipping charges...

if you are ordering once piece it stinks but if you order multiple, shipping kinda makes up for big things.

take the cost of what you want + shipping and see what else is out there...JCP is probably still a good deal
