Jewish ladies who are fasting
when will you be breaking the fast?
I was thinking around 6pm, but my DH (Catholic) informed me earlier that he is fasting today to show solidarity with his wife (GOD I LOVE THAT MAN! )
so now I have to wait till he gets home from work. (around 6:30-6:45)

Re: Jewish ladies who are fasting
I already went to shul today to say Yiskor for my father. I do however think that the fast is technically supposed to be broken after they sound the shofar after services are over tonight. Many of the Jewish men and women may not respond because they are more observant than say... hmmm... MYSELF and wont use the computer on Yom Kippur.
The Rabbi where we went to services said the fast was 26 hours. I read somewhere else that it is 25 hours. I am simply holding out until all of our guests arrive here at about 6. I am quite queazy and uncomfortable but I'll live. I have been through worse in my life.

Re: Jewish ladies who are fasting
The medical ID bracelet on my wrist and the Orthodox doctor who makes me wear it say I have to eat!
I went to IHOP and then shul!
I won't eat again untill after dinner unless my blood sugar goes down and then I will have a coke to hold me over.

no...thats why I said in the first line...I broke the fast already. I broke it about 4 hrs into the fast otherwise I would be dehydrated. But being in shul for my father from10-2 was not fun bc the baby was kicking and making me sick.

Re: Jewish ladies who are fasting
not me today. My jewish doc not letting me fast.
I looked at him and said, come on, do I look like I can't miss a few meals?
He said no way..not on meds...
I haven't fasted in years. Seems I'm always on something.

Re: Jewish ladies who are fasting
according to the Jewish Calendar in our kitchen, the fast ended at 7:25 pm, which is when we broke our fast.
