Jewish Mommies
What do you dress infants in for a bris?
My parents are organizing a somewhat fancy one at a synagogue. Not my idea. But anyway... I'm feeling like I need a special outfit or something.
Suggestions where to shop would be appreciated

Re: Jewish Mommies
I believe my nephew wore a gown, so it had easy access for the actual bris. I think if you go to any Judaica store they can help you. Good luck!

Re: Jewish Mommies
the easiest thing for the boys and for the moyel is one of those infant gowns.. the ones with the elastic on the bottom no feet. Makes for easier access if you know what I mean.

Re: Jewish Mommies
Although we are having a , my nephew was in a nice two piece outfit so they can access the pee pee.
Maybe Denny's would have something nice. You don't want to do something like a Christening outfit, but a nice two piece so his tummy stays warm is probably optimal, as the mohel said they cry because they are cold, not because it hurts, as the nerves aren't fully formed down there-this is just what I heard.

Thanks for the advice, but what's Denny's?

Denny's is a children's store. I know there is one in Plainview. I forget where others are-you can google it.

Don't know what we're having but if we have a boy, I have no idea! I know a gown is the easiest, but I wouldn't want it to look so much like PJ's. I'm sure Denny's would be more than happy to lead me towards some $60 outfit

Re: Jewish Mommies
My mom bought a gown that could also be converted to pant legs. DS peed on it right before the bris. He ended up wearing a long sleeve onesie, blue and white striped footed overalls and a matching hoodie. It was 0-3 month and entirely too big, but it was fine.

Re: Jewish Mommies
DS wore a long sleeve feet onesie with snaps. the mohel just opened the snaps and whipped it out. he just asked that he not be in anything with a zipper or buttons.
