Jewish Moms-Bris Question
I am due in about 2 weeks and I do not know what I am having, but just trying to plan incase I have a boy. With my first we were living in Westchester and rented out from a temple and used their caterer. Now that we live in a house, I am going back and forth with having it here or at a temple. I called a few temples yesterday but they all said I need to be a member to have the bris there.
So my question is, for those of you who have had bris', where was it, if you had it at home, where did you get it catered from? If I have it at home, I would like to hire someone to clean up, serve, etc.
Please give me all your resources.
Thanks!

We had it at home -- but honestly, my MIL did everything -- I was still in a daze and I hardly remember it. I think we brought sandwiches in from Ben's Deli. DH's family did all the clean up.

Re: Jewish Moms-Bris Question
I live in NJ but for my son we did it at a temple that is near me. We do not belong so we made a "donation" to the temple. I am glad we did not have it at the house because it was on a Sunday and we had so many people there (over 120) and my house would have been too small.

At home. Catered from Bagel Boss. Bagel Boss has a recommended vendor for waitstaff/cleanup people. They did a fabulous job and we kept their contact info for future parties.

Jacob's Bris was in our home. We catered in from a bagel shop. It worked out well. People came for the ceremony, ate, and then left.

Re: Jewish Moms-Bris Question
It was at my parents house on LI. They took care of everything. It was catered byBruce's in Great Neck. The food was amazing. They recommended a phenomenal woman to come set up, serve and clean up. We used cantor Phil Sherman. He was great. I was an emotional wreck that morning. We had 60 people at my parent's house on a Thursday morning. It was a beautiful ceremony and a lovely bris. I stayed upstairs while it was actually being done b/c I was a crying mess.
