How long do you have to wait until you can get it re-done? 6months? 8 months?
6 months
I have 1 little spot that I don't consider "perfect" but I put bio silk on when I get out of the shower- and it helps alot
and just as an FYI- they always flat iron it after they wash it and blow it dry- they want you to leave with it as straight as possible so it locks in

Really, Beth? You only have to wait 6 months to have the whole thing redone? Did you usually wait longer than that?

I used to wait longer- 9 months- but I travel to FL so much in the winter - they only redo the roots at 6 months- so I figured that it would be less damaging to just keep getting the roots done- then to get my whole head done

Re: JHS question
Is it cheaper to just have them re-do the roots?

Re: JHS question
So if I held out and wanted the whole thing re-done that would be around 9months?

yep- but you will be using a blow dryer and flat iron for the last 2 to 3 months

so you just get the roots done every six months instead of doing the whole thing? And it all stays straight and "even" although different parts are re-straightened at the same time?

Re: JHS question
I finally was allowed to wash my hair last night, I decided to blow dry it rather than let it air dry, and I have to say, I wasn't completely satisfied. My hair is still straight but has double the volume it did the day I got it done....so it almost looks like its semi frizzy. I had a wave or two that I had to get out with my straightening iron this morning, but that only took a minute. I don't think I should have to be straightening my hair with the iron not even a week since I got it done. I know I can go back and have her fix it for free, but I don't think it would be good for my hair to have the process done twice in 2 weeks, so I guess I will just have to suffer for 6 months and then go back there and see Tracy.

Re: JHS question
Wow, I am so surprised about how many people seem to be having problems with Top Point this year. When I had it done last June, it came out COMPLETELY straight - and pretty much stayed that way with no help from me for at least 6-8 months. Now at over a year it's really starting to s~ck a lot - and I was on the fence about whether I wanted to redo it or not. I think after hearing some of these stories, I'm a little leary (plus I kind of miss my curls - sometimes - today is not one of those days of course. )
I wonder why it seems different. I got it done around the same time as a lot of ladies here last year and I don't remember nearly as many issues with small kinks or waves. I don't think I dryed my hair or did anything to it at all last summer and it was pin straight.

Re: JHS question
I got it done by Tracy in may, i am NOT 100% happy with it. It still dries a little wavy & frizzy in the front. I still have to use a straightener on it, but it is much better than it was.

Re: JHS question
I keep hesitating to go back and have her fix these waves...I'm afraid with more chemicals my hair will fall out! It's only been two weeks and Whether I blow dry it or let it air dry, I have frizz and waves (not as much as I used to but enough to be pizzed off)
Anybody ever went back for a touch up so soon?
I'm going on vacation in a week and really didnt want to have to worry about my hair!
