Job Negiotiation - What would you do: Pls don't move this post!
DH got an offer letter on Tuesday night but the offer was low. He told the recruiter what he was looking for and she said she didn't think he'd get it. We found out the company pays $275/month towards health insurance so we asked if DH waived the insurance (he's under mine), could they increase his salary. The recruiter said she'd ask. DH also sent a very nice, humble email to the company and the recruiter, explaining how much he wants the job but cannot afford the pay cut that is involved and countered. The company is considering it and will probably get back to the recruiter tomorrow. Now...we only found out how much this company has the employees pay for a family plan (more than my company but we don't have kids yet) but we failed to ask what DH's cost just for him would be. I realized that it may be cheaper for us to have separate insurance plans so now we don't want the recruiter to throw in the 'he doesn't need health insurance' thing into the twist. So my question is should we email her today and request that she not bring that up or let it be and see what happens? TIA! any advice is appreciated!
ETA: Thanks for moving this post away from one of the most popular boards.

I would not bring it up again, wait it out and see what they come back with. they might say no anyway.

I wouldnt bring it up either. No needing health insurance is not a negotiating point any more, IMO
