I gota phone call at 11:45 from my daughter who spoke to my brother. She said he told her it took longer because they had to go up higher in his groin to do the bypass in his leg. She said they didn't do the toe.....ugh. And that he was resting comfortably. She also said that it was supposed to be a 7 hr procedure so I don't know why my SIL was told 4 hrs
My dad was moved from recovery tonight and into what they call a stepdown room (a step down from ICU, I think). He apparently will be there for quite awhile. They are talking about doing the surgery on his toe next week & then seeing what they are going to do, if anything about his heart.
