You're right...his son had autism (which in some cases children with autism also have a seizure disorder) but due to their scientology beliefs didn't provide him with the same type of medical care many of us would.
They actually deny he has Autism and say he has Kawasaki Disease.

I was on the elliptical at the gym when it came up on the TV in front of my machine -- I was  and . How horrible!! I feel so bad for him and his wife.  They are not sure what happened but they said something along the lines of a seizure -- which caused him to fall? They stated that he had a history of seizures. Just terrible.

Terrible. I also thought of the circumstances based on what talk has been out there about their treatment of their son's illness. But I don't really know what is true or not (about his ilness or anything really...) and my heart goes out the them and how much pain they must be in right now. I pray Jett is at peace now.

Thats what I read also
DD had Kawasaki Disease. Usually children only get Kawasaki Disease once and it only affects the heart if it's not treated in a timely fashion. In DD's case it was treated within 72 hours...it has to be treated within 5 days for it not to cause heart problems. Even then sometimes it doesn't cause heart problems. Either way it's really tragic what happened to his son. My heart and prayers go out to the Travolta family

It's very sad.
If I recall, they didn't talk much about him at all, which is a shame. With their popularity they could have done such wonders for those causes.

i feel absolutely terrible for that family
i also heard weird deails as well about the circumstances of his death.
and if its true about scientology preventing treatment...that is just truly horrible

Police Investigate Jett Travolta's Death
Sources at the Freeport Grand Bahama Police Department tell TMZ the Serious Crimes Section is conducting an investigation into the death of Jett Travolta, the 16-year-old son of John Travolta and Kelly Preston, but cops don't believe any crime was involved.
A detective tells us the investigation is being run out of the Central Detective Unit, Serious Crimes Section, because of the high profile nature of the death.
We're told it is still an active investigation and the time line may be important in determining cause of death ... specifically, Jett was last seen going to the bathroom on January 1st, yet his body was not discovered until 10 AM the next day.
It is unclear if Jett fell and then had a seizure -- or if a seizure caused him to fall.

Update: A police spokeswoman says that Jett hit his head in a bathtub and apparently that triggered the seizure.
This is so horrible...
I just read in the Paper that his caretaker found him at 10AM but his parents had not seen him alive since he went to the bathroom the night before?!?!?!?!?! Such a horrible story
