Two of the daughters are estranged from the family. They both married, had kids, and realized their family is full of delusional psychopaths. One of them even sends her son to public school and the other lives in LA and wears pants and goes to college lol.

Jinger is not estranged as she sees the family all the time. Jill has been to events but hasn’t been to the big house for 2 years.
I don’t think Jinger is going to college but I am not 100%.

Even if he gets out of jail, he cannot go back to his home where there are minors. Thank God! I sure wouldn't trust him near any of my children.

What does “work for the family” mean? I thought Jim Bob owns some real estate in some backwater towns in Arkansas? Could that really employ every male family member?
I don’t follow any gossip type stuff but the psyche of cults is so interesting so I know about these loonies but haven’t followed recently so my info is out of date.

on the working front: i recall seeing that one of the boys (maybe the boy after josh) owned a towing company.
i want to be very angry with anna, but then i think of the brainwashing. not sure i can "hate" her for staying with him. then i think of her six kids and one on the way. my question then becomes "how does your love for your kids not give you the strength to leave?"
then again, i'm coloring it through my life experience. i left a physically abusive husband because i was pregnant and felt that the baby i was having deserved better... even if it meant a "broken" home.
i'm trying to be compassionate in my thoughts/feelings... but when you cross the line to possibly hurting my kids, compassion goes out the window and i want to kill.
maybe the brainwashing i went through wasn't as strong as the duggar-brand.

For us “normal” folks we can’t understand her mentality. She was born and raised this way and she will never change. She has already said she is standing by him.
I think they all think he will get away with this like he usually does. This is the feds who made a case for 2 years. They are not fooling around and can just be paid off and swept under the rug.
I hope he gets the max time and someone come and rescue her and un-brainwash her if that is even possible.

Apparently he made bail and is staying with some other cult family to essentially babysit him and he can see his kids whenever as long as Anna is there. Because I’m sure the two legged uterus will tell her husband what to do.
Also, I couldn’t bring myself to read the details of the particular.... material he was viewing but it’s supposedly really horrific abuse of children. I don’t understand how anyone can get away with this.

Toward the beginning, she said, "legality & morality are two different things" , which is so depressing, but does help explain why he was released.

oh, absolutely. He knew about the investigation, so you'd think he would be on his best behavior, but it doesn't seem like something he can just stop doing. 
What I find interesting is that since the incident with his sisters wasn't filed as a crime at the time (and would have been a sealed case) and instead was discussed by him & family in the media when he was an adult, they can actually take take that into account, even though it wasn't a conviction.

And yeah, I really was naturally disturbed by the crime but then I was reading how horrific it is. I had NO idea this particular genre/stuff existed. People on another thread about it were urging people NOT to read about it because it is so psychologically damaging and warning them over and over to be careful.
I chose to listen but I get the general idea (I think) and I’m sick.
That judge is ridiculous to let him out on bail!!
I also wonder if Josh himself was abused. I wouldn’t be surprised if Jim Bob was part of a ring himself.
