July 4th Fireworks shows?
I promised my family that we would see fireworks this year. Where can we go? I don't want to go into Manhattan for it. We will probably be eating dinner in Queens or western-to-mid Nassau that night and want to go somewhere after dinner.

I think** there is a Fireworks Show at Jones Beach every year.

there is a fireworks show in valley stream.
jones beach was canceled.

I was just doing a search to find out about fireworks for hte 4th and found this! Not close for the OP but maybe others would be interested...
Go 4th on the Bay - Grucci Style (National Class)
Place: Great South Bay, off Davis Park, Fire Island

Details: The Gruccis will be producing this 1st ever public fireworks program on the 4th of July on our beautiful Great South Bay. Best and most spectacular viewing would be from the Captree Boats Davis Park, Fire Island, or your own boat. Good viewing, but remember from afar, is any shoreline from Smith Point to Bay Shore.

if you can get tickets to a ducks game, they are doing grucci fireworks. Thats where we are going.

We used to go to Gantry Plaza in Long Island City. You could see the NYC fireworks and if you parked decently you could hop right back on the LIE to head home.

We also see them from a rooftop in LIC. My brother is one of the hi-rise building managers at a building right on the water, so we get special access and it's really a great show!
